Gift from Wayne
When I was 9 weeks pregnant, my soulmate Wayne suddenly passed away. Navigating shock and grief I would also learn that what we had believed were comprehensive insurance policies would not pay - the policy required survival for 14 days after heart failure. We had no idea there was such a critical gap in our insurance. Only five months earlier we had purchased our family home, confidently telling the bank we had life insurance in place. Wayne had been meticulous - everything organized, or so we thought. He would be devasted to know I was left navigating both emotional loss and financial survival.
This experience changed how I view insurance forever. It drives me to ensure clients truly understand their risk, options and their policy structure. The difference between protection and financial crisis.
My approach is built on understanding what each client truly needs and explaining the solutions in clear, straight forward language. I believe in making sure clients understand their coverage and feel supported, from inquiry, through application to ongoing reviews and especially during claims.
In my experience many people are unaware of the fine print, exclusions or gaps in their coverage - or they are paying for policies that no longer align with their lives. My role is to bring clarity to that complexity, ensuring clients understand exactly what they have and feel confident in their protection. In times of trauma or illness, financial stress should not add to the burden.
